Along with volunteers, Compassionate Care of Shelby County
relies on its small staff to coordinate the many services we provide.
Under the direction of our Executive Committee, each of our staff members has
the knowledge, training, and people skills to carry out the day-to-day
responsibilities necessary to serve our patients with confidence and competence.
Traci Milanese is Compassionate Care’s Executive Director. Her vibrant, upbeat attitude brings new light and ideas to Compassionate Care. Traci is a very confident, team-oriented leader who is always willing to jump right in with both feet. She is very approachable and easy to relate to and always greets people with a smile. She makes time for each person and makes everyone feel appreciated and important. Traci has great networking and organizational skills. She also has a unique way of pulling people together as she generates input and feedback from patients. She effectively creates a great team of staff and volunteers who genuinely care for the people we serve. Traci comes to us with a Bachelor Degree in Education, as well as 2 Associates Degrees, one of which is in Medical Assisting. In addition, she taught for two years Medical Assisting at Edison State College. We are fortunate to have Traci’s talents and outgoing personality to guide Compassionate Care in its mission "to respectfully provide quality care and hope to the underserved of Shelby County".
Teresa Gregg joined Compassionate Care in January of 2017. Her fun-loving attitude and constant smile is an added plus to our patients. Teresa comes to us after working for Wilson Health as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Her knowledge of chemistry, lab techniques and phlebotomy has been a huge asset to our team. Her love and understanding for our patients is above and beyond.
Teresa grew up in Quincy, Ohio for the majority of her life. When she decided to further her education at Edison, she thought it'd be in her best interest to move closer to Sidney. Teresa keeps busy with four wonderful kids. In her free time she enjoys swimming, walking through Tawawa Park, being outside, music and reading. She is an active member of Sidney First United Methodist Church, as well. Teresa is currently looking into furthering her education as a Nurse Practitioner. Compassionate Care is blessed to have Ms. Gregg's knowledge and compassion as part of our clinic team.
Our bubbly Jackie Messer joined our crew in February. Jackie brings an array of talents to Compassionate Care. Her natural social skills, personality and giggle is a light in many of our patients lives. She is certified in Phlebotomy and STNA. From the moment Jackie walked in the door, I knew she was perfect for this position. She is easy to talk to, approachable and her positive personality creates a fantastic environment for staff and patients.
Jackie has 2 beautiful children who are heavily involved in 4-H, so she spends a great deal of her time helping with 4-H projects. She also enjoys hunting, reading and family time. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church and has recently joined many mentoring groups within the church family. Her future goal is to grow stronger in her faith with God. We are beyond lucky to have this smile on our Compassionate Care Team and I cant wait to see what her future holds.
Cynthia Williams is our Grant and Volunteer Coordinator. She has been here since November and is a granted position from the Vista Program through Ohio Association of Free Clinics. Cynthia diligently works on fundraising opportunities, grant research and volunteer expansion.
Cynthia recently relocated from New York to Piqua, Ohio. She has 2 grown boys and a daughter-in-law, who she enjoys spending time with. In her free time she enjoys volunteering, serving others, reading, internet surfing and socializing. Cynthia is an active member of Mid-County Church of Christ in Troy, where she heads-up and cooks a new Wednesday night program that feeds those in need. Her future goal is to become a Life Coach Advocate. Cynthia genuinely loves to help people. Her kindness for others is a great contribution to Compassionate Care. We appreciate the skills she brings to the clinic and are glad she has joined our team.
